Hello, I’m Dr. Shawne, and I have dedicated my lifetime of education and practice to discovering the amazing potential in every child. As a pediatric dentist, I practice at Amazing Kids & Cook Children’s Hospital a few days a week. My passion for making dental visits a positive experience for children inspired me to publish an illustrated children’s book that explains what to expect in both sight and sound during their first dental visit.

I am blessed with an amazing family that includes three sons, one amazing daughter-in-law, two fantabulous twin daughters, and my magnanimous husband, Dr. Andy Barron, DDS, MS, who is a certified pediatric dentist and orthodontist. Our family also includes one of the world’s sweetest dogs, two big, food-motivated dogs, one enduring cat, and innumerable amazing patients who fill my days with so much love and joy.

My goal is to make dental visits enjoyable and educational for children, helping them develop a positive attitude towards dental care. By combining professional expertise with a warm, welcoming approach, I aim to create an environment where children feel comfortable and confident.

Outside of my professional life, I cherish the time spent with my family and our beloved pets. Each day, I am inspired by the amazing children I meet and am committed to ensuring they leave my office with a smile.

Dr. Jan Ortiz is a distinguished orthodontist with a comprehensive educational and professional background. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in 2005, where he was actively involved in several extracurricular activities and served as president of both the UPR Medical Sciences Student Council and the UPR School of Dental Medicine Student Council. Graduating at the top of his class, Dr. Ortiz pursued a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, focusing on special needs and medically compromised patients.

Dr. Ortiz further specialized in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, earning a Doctorate in Sciences in dentistry from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Gupta is married to Ashish Khandelwal, the Director of Engineering at Texas Instruments in Dallas. They have three children: twins Aayansh and Aahana, and their older son Aarav. Dr. Gupta enjoys spending her free time with her family and has hobbies that include oil painting, cooking, and traveling.

Dr. Marites Del Mundo, fondly known as Dr. D, is a skilled orthodontist at Archstone Dental & Orthodontics, serving the Alta Mere, Granbury, and Weatherford locations. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of the Philippines in 1993, graduating at the top of her class and earning the Most Outstanding Dental Graduate Award from the International College of Dentists. Dr. Del Mundo completed her two-year orthodontic residency at the University of Minnesota in 1996, obtaining a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry.

Dr. Del Mundo is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) and the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Robbie Hashem, DDS, is a passionate orthodontist dedicated to transforming lives through his practice. Dr. Hashem earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. He then pursued his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Texas A&M University – Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. Furthering his expertise, he completed a Master of Science in Oral Biology and a Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine – University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, NJ.

Since 1996, Dr. Hashem has been practicing orthodontics in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, Texas Association of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Douglas Shaw was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Medical Biology. He took a two-year hiatus during his undergraduate studies to volunteer as a missionary in Samoa, where he developed a deep appreciation for service.

Dr. Shaw earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, graduating first in his class with clinical and academic honors. He was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. During his dental education, he participated in numerous outreach programs and helped organize the first BOCA (Buffalo Outreach & Community Assistance) dental mission trip to Tonga.

With a passion for orthodontics, Dr. Shaw received his Certificate from NOVA Southeastern University, where he learned the skills to create functional and aesthetically pleasing smiles. He also earned a Master of Science degree for his thesis on digital vs. analog cranial base cephalometric superimpositions, gaining exposure to a variety of treatment modalities and techniques.

Dr. Shaw’s unique experience in cosmetic dentistry and aesthetic facial evaluation enables him to design personalized smiles for each patient. He is one of the few dentists trained in digital co-diagnosis, allowing patients to play an active role in their treatment planning.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Shaw enjoys sports, outdoor activities, and spending time with his wife and children. He is an active member of his local church and feels blessed to call Texas home. Dr. Shaw collaborates with local dentists and specialists, lecturing internationally to improve patient care and community education in orthodontics.
