Dr. Tara Kim, DMD, is renowned among her patients as the “gentle dentist,” known for her compassionate and meticulous approach to dental care. Dr. Kim earned her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in 1996, followed by her Doctorate of Dental Medicine with Honors in 2000, both from the University of British Columbia. Throughout her dental education, she received numerous accolades, including the Proficiency Prize in Oral Medicine, the Matthew J. Waterman Prize, and the New Investigator Award for her excellence in dental research.

After graduation, Dr. Kim was selected as one of three general practice residents (G.P.R.) at the University of Alberta, where she underwent extensive training in various dental specialties, including oral maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, oral medicine, and pedodontics. Dr. Chris Kan earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario in 1998, following his completion of a BSc from UBC in 1993. Returning to Vancouver after his dental degree, Dr. Kan gained valuable experience working as an associate at various practices in Point Grey, Burnaby, and Pemberton, BC.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Zaeimdar serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UBC Dental Faculty, imparting her wealth of knowledge to the next generation of dental professionals.
